**Why staying local could be best for your next holiday**

When planning a holiday, it’s great to think about exploring far-off lands and exotic places, but we often forget about the wonderful places waiting for us closer to home. Here are a few reasons why staying local could give you your best holiday yet…

**Support local businesses**

Local businesses are vital to the economy, so why not support yours by choosing to stay at a local glampsite or visiting a few independent shops you never normally have time for? You may even discover a new favourite you can keep returning to!

**Be a tourist in your own town**

When you’re busy with everyday life it’s easy to overlook the so-called tourist attractions that lie close to home. Take some time to truly explore your local area and you may be surprised by how much you love it and going home won’t be such a disappointment after a wonderful holiday.** **

**Less travelling = more relaxing!**

We all know the worst part of any holiday is the time it takes to get wherever you’re going, which often means being too tired to start enjoying it straight away. Cut out the travel time by going somewhere close by, and you’ll arrive still feeling fresh and ready to start relaxing.
